Jealous作形容词有“嫉妒的、唯恐失去的、羡慕的”意思；envious作形容词有“羡慕的、嫉妒的”意思。从意思可以看出，jealous和envious都有嫉妒的意思，且都有be jealous/envious of的用法，但是jealous除了嫉妒以外，还有嫉恨的成分；envious则是羡慕的意思。

jealous用法

jealous指对他人的优点、成就等恼恨不满的，也可用于表示对某人吃醋的。
